From the VHS cover:

A man went looking for America and couldn’t find it anywhere…

Experience the real, uncensored sixties counterculture in this compelling mixture of drugs, sex and armchair politics. In the role that catapulted him to stardom, Jack Nicholson portrays an alcoholic attorney who hooks up with two part-time, drug-dealing motorcyclists (Fonda and Hopper) in search of their “American Dream.” Heading from California to New Orleans, they sample the highs and lows of America the Beautiful in a stoned-out quest for life’s true meaning.

Star-studded cast trapped in a plunging airplane… And only a death-defying rescue mission can save them!

Columbia Airlines’ flight 409, piloted by Captain Stacy, is on its way from Washington, D.C. to Los Angeles when it is struck by a small plane, leaving a gaping hole in the nose of the giant aircraft. Stacy is critically injured and his co-pilot killed, forcing chief stewardess Nancy Pryor to take the controls. Back on the ground, a daring rescue mission is planned: former jet pilot Alan Murdoch is to be lowered from a helicopter into the yawning hole of the 747 to land it safely.

It’s a treacherous mission and one of the most spectacular stunts ever filmed!
